115th Infantry, First State Color. Recruited primarily in Philadelphia, the 115th also included men from Cambria, Blair, Lebanon, Lancaster, and Northampton counties and was organized in January 1862. The regiment received the first state color sometime soon after March 1862. Evidence suggests the flag was greatly damaged at Chancellorsville, and was retired in December 1863 upon receiving a replacement. Late June 1864 the survivors were consolidated with the 110th PA, who were mustered out of service on June 28, 1865.
